2026 OWBL Executive

Our executive is comprised of players in our league. They are nominated and voted in each calendar year. They are volunteers.

Stephanie Iwasa
(She/Her)

PRESIDENT

There’s so much I love about baseball including making catches, meeting amazing people and friends from different backgrounds, and traveling. Outside of baseball I’m a scientist at KITE at the University Health Network. I like trying new things, exploring, and playing games with family and friends.

Shannon Vigmond
(She/Her)

VICE PRESIDENT

Shannon came for the baseball and stayed for the team. She has been playing baseball / softball since she was 10 and has no plans to stop anytime soon. She is continuously trying to learn as much about baseball and baseball coaching as possible. She is only four awards away from an EGOT.

Shawna-Marie Harper
(She/Her)

CONVENOR

I grew up playing baseball with my sister in Royal York Baseball League’s girls program and absolutely love the game, but the best part about playing in the OWBL are the people, the friendships that I’ve gained on and off the field. I play 1st base primarily, but also catch sometimes. I now live in Peterborough, but the commute to play ball is totally worth it!

Kylie O’Donnell
(She/Her)

MARKETING CO-ORDINATOR

When I’m not playing in the OWBL, I run my own cottage rental management company, which means I spend a lot of time thinking about lakes, docks, and weekend getaways. To stay active, I also play pickleball and dodgeball, because apparently one sport isn’t enough. I earned my PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2019.

Sabrina Bruno
(She/Her)

TREASURER

I grew up playing softball and have only started playing baseball over the last few years – and I love it (both on and off the field!)! I’ve met some of my closest friends through the OWBL and always look forward to practices, games, and social team events. When I’m not playing baseball, I work as a chocolate/candy/cookie lawyer and engage in other activities and sports including hockey, ball hockey, pickleball, curling, dodgeball, softball, and running!

Amanda Deconinck
(She/Her)

SECRETARY

I started playing baseball when I was ten years old and have loved it ever since! I play second and third base, and love to run the bases. I cherish the friends I’ve made from the sport, and really enjoy working together with my teammates to achieve a common goal. When I’m not on the diamond, I love staying active with other sports, or reading a good book.

Hannah Pelletier
(She/Her)

CO-JUNIOR EXECUTIVE MEMBER

I’ve been playing baseball since I was 7 years old and in the OWBL since I was 15. Baseball has given me the wonderful gift of fun, competition and lifelong friends over the years! I love playing catcher and the hot corner. These days when I’m not on the field, you can catch me studying to become a chiropractor, playing hockey or snuggling up with a good book.

Beth Deconinck
(She/Her)

CO-JUNIOR EXECUTIVE MEMBER

I have been playing baseball since I was 10 years old! Baseball and softball are my favourite sports to play, and I grew up playing both every summer with my twin sister. I love playing shortstop and running the bases. When I’m not playing ball I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, studying science, and reading a good book.

Andrea Harris
(She/Her)

PAST PRESIDENT

I’ve always been a sports fanatic…and a science fiction nerd.  I’ve played in this league for almost 20 years and was lucky enough to play a few seasons with Team Ontario.  I love pitching and playing short stop.  When I’m not playing baseball, I spend my free time playing various musical instruments, watching Star Trek, riding my motorcycle, and hanging out with friends.

Nominations for any executive position must be sent to the President or designate a minimum of two weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) each calendar year.

If there is more than one nomination per position, the nominees will be announced 2 weeks prior to the AGM, and results of voting will be announced at the AGM.

The AGM will be held prior to March 1st of each calendar year.
